Dodge County Sheriff Jeff Hinson has released his first annual yearly report to the citizens of Dodge County.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department records show that during 2009, deputies responded to 13,187 calls dispatched from the Dodge/Wilcox 911 Center. There were 1,529 adults arrested by deputies and booked into the Dodge County jail. The sheriff’s office recorded/served 2,039 arrest warrants on various individuals. Deputies served 1,577 various civil court papers. Deputies served an additional 543 child support papers. Deputies issued 1043 traffic citations during 2009.
In 2009, six (6) employees of the sheriff’s office were injured. Three (3) detention officers were assaulted working in the Dodge County jail. Two (2) deputies were physically assaulted while executing arrests, which required medical attention. One (1) deputy was hospitalized as the result of an auto accident.
Traffic citations written by Dodge County deputies to the various courts of Dodge County had base fine amounts which totaled a minimum of $199,681.00. In addition, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department directly collected $214,672.00 in various fees and cash bonds.
