Dodge County Deputies spent most of Sunday morning, January 24, searching for a gunman in the woods around Sycamore Drive and Jim Pruett Road areas. Deputies were called to a residence on Sycamore Drive to a domestic violence call. A male subject fled the residence with a shotgun and discharged the gun while in the woods. Dodge Correctional Institute’s K-9 Unit responded to assist deputies in their search for the gunman. Deputies and the K-9 Unit later safely located the individual. Deputies arrested Scott Allen Souza (age 38) of Eastman, and charged him with domestic battery, reckless conduct and obstruction.
Investigators searched a residence on the Soperton Highway on January 19 and arrested two (2) individuals. Leann Fountain (age 40) of Eastman, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamines and possession of Schedule IV narcotics, as result of the search. In addition, investigators arrested Ashley Fountain (age 19) and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Dodge Sheriff’s narcotic investigators arrested Elijah Enrique Lamont (age 22) on January 19 and charged him with the sale of morphine. Raymall Williams (age 27) was taken into custody on January 13 and charged with two (2) counts of the sale of cocaine.
Dodge Sheriff’s investigators have arrested Michael Reed (age 23) of Eastman, as the result of an investigation into the theft and use of a debit/credit card. Reed has been charged two (2) counts of financial transaction card theft and ten (10) counts of financial transaction card fraud.
Investigators have taken Leroy Covington (age 55) of Eastman, into custody. Covington is charged with aggravated stalking and violation of previous bond conditions. Allegedly, Covington continued to contact a sexual assault victim which Covington had been previously arrested for and was out on bond for.
Deputies have arrested Stacy Lee (age 44) of Eastman, and have charged him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Lee allegedly was in possession of a pistol and threw the weapon down as a deputy approached him.
Investigators have charged Kathleen Johnson (age 47) of Rhine, with arson in the third degree. Johnson allegedly burned a vehicle in Rhine.
Investigators have arrested William Joseph Rogers (age 51) of Eastman, for felony theft by taking. Rogers allegedly took an inoperable vehicle belonging to an individual on Rocky Springs Road and sold the vehicle for scrap metal.
Ashley Brooke Stickney (age 25) of Kingsland, was taken into custody by deputies last week on a warrant sworn out by a citizen. Stickney allegedly stole a pickup truck belonging to a person she was living with in Dodge County.
Deputies, while attempting to eat at the Huddle House early Sunday morning around 3:00 a.m., ended up arresting an individual inside the restaurant. Terrance L. Chancey (age 31) of a Cochran address, allegedly was intoxicated and shouted obscenities directed toward the deputies across the restaurant. Deputies charged Chancey with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and obstruction.
