911 system works

To the citizens of Dodge County:
In the late 90s while I served as interim county commissioner, we initiated a 1% special sales tax for, among other things, an emergency 911 system for Dodge County. It works!

On Saturday, January 23, I had my first need to call 911 at about 4:30 a.m. my wife had fallen and there was no way I could get her up. Within minutes we were on our way to the emergency room.
Services at the hospital were first class. The equipment available to us at the hospital exceeds all expectations for a rural facility. In less than 30 minutes we had the results of a cat-san and multiple x-rays. What a relief to know there were no broken bones.
Way to go Dodge County!
