Recently I was browsing through them and came upon the following: Younker, town of, Incorporated, No. 596, an act to Incorporate the town of Younker, in the County of Dodge.
Town of Younker shall consist of a Mayor and 4 Aldermen… Corporate limits shall be 1/2 of a mile in every direction from the depot of the Wrightsville and Tennille railroad, except on the West, Gum Swamp shall be the boundary. The first election shall be on the first Monday in December, 1906. Approved August 20, 1906.

I grew up on the banks of the Gum Swamp in Younker. I learned many things which were not found in textbooks.
