Christmas parade held

The Eastman Lions Club held their annual Christmas parade in Eastman on Saturday night, December 19 after a one week delay due to rain. A good crowd braved the cold temperatures to watch the festivities and see Santa arrive. (Photos by Cindy Eckles)

Beautiful! I am proud to say I am from an area that still recognizes and celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and is not afraid to let everyone know. May you all have a blessed Christmas!

Obviously you don't understand the real reason of Christmas. If it wasn't for Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, you would not be alive and walking around. I will keep you in my prayers.

My children was soo disappionted not to see an ambulance in the parade. I dont understand why there wasnt an ambulance in the parade.

There are only two ambulances that run the entire county and some of the time one of them is involved in a transport to macon or some other bigger hospital.

I know I went to school in dodge county but the last time I came by the hospital there was 4 ambulances sitting outside.

I was so happy to see my Church's float on the front page.( Friendship Baptist ) It was alot of hard work... but well worth it.

Christmas parades are such lovely moments in live of everyone. Sometimes I would like Christmas time to stay for the whole year, because the world seems less evil that days.

No offense to all who likes to celebrate Christmas but here is some things I must say is that we need to stop telling the kids that santa bring the toys, we are faced with an uncertain economy and no one knows where it is heading inclluding my brother Barrack{whom I love Dearly} by telling the kids this they are thinking I can just tell Santa he will bring it when the truth is mom and dad or the grandparents or who ever will sometime bend over backward to get them what they want. Let the kids know if you do not work for it you will not get it. When we give try to give them something they really need a coat{My it is cold} a sweater or a pair pants. But most of all give them Love. My mother would say that I tore up the doll but saved the box and she did not buy the box for me to play with but the doll then she would say the next time I will just get you the box. A Blessed NewYears to all.
