Five Jr. grappling Indians recently traveled to Dahlonega and Woodstock to compete in the second stop of the Tour of Georgia series and the Karen Dearborn Memorial Classic.
Drawing wrestlers from Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee the Tour of Georgia series is full of serious competition and outstanding wrestlers. Facing off against some of the best wrestlers in the Southeast, Ty Belflower, Christian Grauberber, and Aiden Greer turned in remarkable performances at their respective weight classes.
At the end of the day, Christian Grauberger took home a bronze medal at 76 pounds and Aiden Greer earned the silver medal at 67 pounds.
Competing in Woodstock were Vincent Mannella and Anthony Mannella who took on all-comers and a field of extremely talented wrestlers. When the dust settled, Vincent Mannella had earned a gold medal at 57 pounds and a silver medal at 60 pounds. His younger brother, Anthony, brought home the bronze medal in the 49 pounds weight class. The next stop for the Jr. Grapplers will be in Dublin on December 19 for the third stop in the Tour of Georgia series.
