On Wednesday afternoon, November 25, law enforcement officers served a search warrant on a residence on Lietch Street in the Sunset area of Eastman. The warrant was the result of a joint investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and the Oconee Drug Task Force. The Eastman Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office and the task force in serving the warrant. A small quantity of suspected cocaine, along with scales and plastic bags, was discovered at the residence during the search. As a result of the joint investigation, Bruce Level (age 38) of Eastman, was arrested and charged with two (2) counts of the sale of cocaine and one (1) count of possession of cocaine.
On Monday, December 7 the sheriff’s narcotics unit arrested Randy Lee Williams (age 25) of Eastman, and charged him with one (1) count of sale of cocaine. Narcotic investigators also arrested Kimberly Melissa Horne (age 31) of Eastman, on the same date. Horne was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug related objects. Both Williams and Horne were arrested in the First (1st) Avenue area of Eastman.
Dodge County Sheriff’s investigators have solved a residential burglary that occurred in the Rhine area before Thanksgiving. Investigators have arrested and charged four (4) individuals with burglary as result of the investigation. Alex Cole Hilliard (age 17) of Rhine, James Casey Wright (age 19) of Rhine, Lance Bostwell Floyd (age 18) of McRae, and William Vincent Neill (age 19) of Milan, were all arrested in the past two weeks in connection with the Rhine burglary. In addition, Neill has been charged with possession of marijuana. Neill allegedly had a small quantity of marijuana on his person when he was taken into custody by deputies.
Michael Steven Knight (age 22) of Eastman, was arrested by deputies on Friday November 13. Knight has been charged by sheriff’s investigators with theft by taking and theft by receiving jewelry which had been previously reported stolen to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s investigators have solved several burglaries in the Gresston area recently. As result of the investigations, investigators have arrested and charged Carlton Deshawn Keaton (age 28) of Eastman, with four (4) counts of burglary.
Two (2) individuals have been arrested in connection with the theft of several deer stands from Tough Enough Trailers on Amos Keag Drive in Eastman. Investigators have charged Shawn Kirkpatrick (age 27) and Gabriel Joshua Parr (age 30) both of Eastman, each with theft by taking.
Investigators have arrested and charged Brittany Leigh Dykes (age 19) of Eastman, with cruelty to children as the result of a joint ongoing investigation with the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.
