In a 1962 debate with Bobby Kennedy, Reagan said, “Why don’t you have your brother tear down that wall?” You can see who did the talk and who got action.
Peter Robinson wrote the 1987 Reagan speech and he and Reagan inserted the tear down the wall phrase. Others tried to get him to take it out but Reagan stood his ground, and as usual, he was right and made the correct move. Peter Robinson supported keeping it in. Some others wanted to wimp out.
John McCain was liberal enough to be invited to be Democrat John Kerry’s vice-presidential running mate in 2004. Democrats liked the way McCain thought. What worked out better for them was getting to run against him four years later. At least three times McCain is said to have seriously considered changing parties. Once again Republican voters were told by big media in 2008 that McCain was the type of Republican who could win in November and voters fell for the old ruse again in the 2008 primaries.
Remember early in the 2008 campaign when polling “experts” claimed the 2008 nominees would be the two New Yorkers, Hillary Clinton vs. Rudy Giuliani? I don’t believe Rudy ever got one delegate vote before dropping out.
As Michael D. Tanner of the Cato Institute (cato.org) points out on TheAbsurdReport.com, the Senate vote on Harry Reid’s health care bill smoked out the “moderate” Democrats. The pretenders had to get off the fence. Every Democrat fell in line with the party leadership.
Democrat Senators Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieu and Blanche Lincoln “had to choose between pleasing party leaders and their reputations for moderation. Moderation lost,” points out Michael D. Tanner.
Most politicians are slick with words, from both parties. Of course, Demos are far more corrupt, much worse than Republicans. Demos will always sell out to the party leadership, as you just witnessed in the health “care” vote. They care nothing about your health, only about their careers.
The rest of the Obama story: another 30,000 to 35,000 troops to Afghanistan proposed by Obama?
“No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
James Madison
“No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems - of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind.”

The Obama White House cannot stop gate crashers at their parties for the elite but they presume to be able to micromanage your medical care. It’s actually medical and health control, not care. If they cared about you, they would leave the present system alone. It’s power over you they seek. Once they control the medical system they will have complete control over the individual, under the guise of caring for us.

I have yet to meet a liberal who favors oil drilling in the USA.
From theospark.net: What does Barack Obama call lunch with a convicted felon? A fund raiser.
“If the healthcare bill is so fabulous, why criminalize those who want to opt out?”
