All the equipment, decorations and most of the time and work was donated by a wonderful family that always does what needs to be done, but quietly. If the truth be known, they made sure we had electricity at no cost.
The carpentry work and some workers were provided by Victory in Christ Ministry. This group of men has shown their love through Christ in many ways.
We had a terrific group of young people that came to lend us help with just a moments notice and was willing to do anything to make our fundraiser a success.
The community of Milan came together in a wonderful way to ensure that our group would have funds in the future to provide glasses, surgery and help in preventing blindness. We also try to help when there is a need in our community. Thank you, Milan.
At seventy, I am in the younger group of the Milan Lions Club members. Also, I am a fairly new person to the club and to the area. I would like to let everyone know what an amazing group of people that I am honored to be associated with. When there is a need in Milan and beyond, these men and women are among the first to open their purses, their hearts and their actions to solve that need. Whether it is for the Lions Club, their churches or one on one, they are ready to serve. In their quiet and gently way, they spread Christ’s message.
We need people to help us continue our mission. Please come for fellowship and food any third Monday of the month and see what we are about. We need fresh people and ideas.
Perhaps next year, we will have enough help for us to carry out Ms. Joiner’s wonderful idea for an old fashioned Christmas house. Pray for us as we complete our Christmas projects for this year.
