Dodge County sheriff’s investigators investigated a report of a rape that occurred in Milan on Thursday, November 12. Investigators have arrested and charged Kenneth Richard Deese (age 42) of Milan, with one count of rape and furnishing alcohol to a minor as a result of the investigation.
Dodge County deputies responded to a report of a man threatening a person with a gun on the Chester Highway last Tuesday. Deputies arrested and charged Willie Eldon Bennett (age 49) of Eastman, with terroristic threats/acts, disorderly conduct, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug related objects.
Dodge County deputies investigated a theft that occurred at a residence on Bay Springs Church Road last week. Deputies have arrested and charged Adam Bush (age 31) of Eastman, with theft by taking.
Dodge County deputies have arrested and charged Jim Kody Daniels (age 23) of Eastman with cruelty to children as a result of a joint investigation with the Department of Family and Children Services in which a two year old child was injured last week.
Dodge County deputies responded to a report of wreck on Shady Acres Drive late Friday night. While investigating the accident, the driver fled on foot from the deputies. The deputies chased the driver, Will Simmons (age 46) into a residence. Simmons fought with both deputies. Deputies ended up having to use a taser on Simmons before he was taken into custody. Simmons continued to be combative at the jail with the detention officers. Simmons was charged with driving under the influence, terroristic threats/acts and two (2) felony counts of obstruction of officers.
