Dear editor,
Too much versus not enough.
The citizens of this nation/community are constantly being bombarded by many yes’s and no’s. Some are looking at the way things are and asking why, while others are looking at the way they never were and asking why not. One of the reasons for the uprising is that so few have so much and so many have so little. We can have everything in life we want if our Savior chooses to bless us with it. Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and Savior, will always have the last say so. After all, He is the one who knows the end from the beginning. When was the last time you asked Jesus, “Lord, whatever you are doing in this season please don’t do it without me?” Have you ever said, “Lord, whatever I start out to do each day, together you and I can accomplish it.”
Americans need to stop believing in so much of what they see, but believe in God’s word. When you say that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, that is based on your relationship with Christ. You have to decide if you truly love your Lord and Savior or are you just having an affair with him? Jesus Christ is not a part time love. The difference between a failure and a winner is a winner will get up after they have fallen. No one can ride the back of another when they are standing up straight. Courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than courage of a final moment. But it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy. Your ability will get you to the top, but your endurance will keep you there. The bottom line for Americans as well as citizens of this community is you will never change what you are willing to tolerate. As Americans prepare to reelect or elect a new president, my prayer is that we will look at what is right instead of who is right. Americans need to stop listening to what sounds good and going along just to get along. We must look for the truth and honesty some place other than the dictionary.
Don’t sell yourself to the democrat, republican or independent; but the man or woman who is a God fearing individual who knows that they are accountable to God for their actions. It seems like Americans have become so smart they will not give you a straight answer. For example, the other day a congressman was asked their opinion on same sex marriage. His answer was it should be a decision that the state must make. I was hoping he would say that I believe in Jesus Christ and that it is wrong. But I must love those individuals as human but it should be a decision to be made by each state.
I hope that most Americans as well as citizens of this community will realize that there is no in between. You are either right or wrong. You can’t live with one foot in the church and the other one across the fence.
