Former Rhine employee June Sheffield says that she did not take any money from the City of Rhine.

She also stated that she has not signed an agreement with the city to repay any of the $7,000.00 cash money for water bill payments that was never deposited into the city’s bank account from January 2011 to June 2011 while she was employed by the city.

Sheffield went on to say that she will meet with Rhine Mayor Carter Clements after the first of the year (2012) to tell him the story about what she knows that would clear up the matter.

Well, it looks like there is more to this story. Someone is telling the truth and someone isn't. It is going to be very interesting to see who is and who isn't if they don't take it behind closed doors then we might never know the truth.
I would think that they at least need to let the citizens of Rhine know the truth since it was their money. I wonder how many accounts got disconnected because of this?

I for one say WOOO HOOO! Now, that no one is taking the blame, it's time to do what should have been done to begin with... Turn this matter over to law enforcement to solve!

If she knew something that could 'clear up this matter', why on earth hasn't she spoken up sooner? Why didn't she speak up when she first learned that something was going on?

Still sounds like a bunch of games to me.

I don,t understand how this person is not prococuted. Unless there is more to the story that what is being reported. Small town, "good ol boys" must be involved.
