The Dodge County Middle School Warriors split a double header against West Laurens last Thursday. The Lady Warriors dropped a 33-12 game.
The Warriors won a game that swung back and forth in a 39-34 win.

The Lady Warriors had a rough game as they couldn’t find the basket as they dropped a 33-12 game. Kaylee Peterson lead Dodge with 4 points. Shardee Jackson also added 4 points. Temesha Collins and Tierra Hamilton had 2 points each.

The Warriors trailed early 6-3 as West Laurens had four free throws. DeMarcus McClinton hit a three pointer to tie the game at 6-6. A.J. Lampkin hit a basket for a 8-6 game. The Raiders scored the final 7 points of the quarter to lead Dodge 13-8 at the end of the first quarter.

The Warriors still trailed 18-12 late in the second quarter. Maleek Graham and Alex Jordan had late baskets and Dodge cut the Raider lead to 18-16 at the half.

Dodge would claim the lead in the third quarter. A.J. Lampkin hit a three pointer for a 19-18 lead. Lampkin had four straight points to
Warriors split double headergive Dodge the lead for good at 25-22. Alex Jordan scored four late points for a 29-22 lead going to the fourth quarter. Maleek Graham scored an early basket for a 31-22 lead. The Raiders made a late run to cut the Dodge lead to 35-32 with less than a minute to play. The Raiders had a pair of three point attempts to tie the game but missed. A.J. Lampkin hit a pair of free throws in the closing seconds to put away a 39-34 win. A.J. Lampkin had 12 points to lead Dodge. DeMarcus McClinton scored 11; Alex Jordan 8; Maleek Graham 6 and J.J. Harrell 2.

Why has there been no newspaper coverage of the Dodge County Sqaws Or Indian basketball teams. All other sports are covered in the paper. They have played four games this season and I have not seen anything in the newspaper about the games, not even the scores.
