Congressman Ron Paul, showing his political astuteness way back, was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan over Gerald Ford in the 1976 Republican Primary and was the first of the four to do so. If voters had listened to these four and dumped Ford in 1976 most people would not know who Jimmy Carter was today. You saw what happened in 1980. His toll-free number is 1-888-322-1414, updated each Monday. He is highly critical of Newt Gingrich today and well he should be, since Newt sneakily tried to defeat Ron when he returned from medicine to Congress in 1996. Ron is still there. Newt isn’t. Ron Paul could hold that seat for life but he’s giving it up after this term. When he retires from Congress he draws no Congressional pension. He is truly the taxpayer’s best friend.
Democrats decry partisanship when they need Republican votes, but check their record. They’re always partisan. Who isn’t?
When Chief Justice John Roberts was confirmed in 2005, he won by 78-22. All 22 No votes were cast by Democrats. In 2006 Justice Samuel Alito was approved 58-42 percent, with all but four Democrats opposed.
Of course, Justice Sonya So-So Sotomayor was approved in 2009 by a 68-31 vote. All 31 votes in opposition were cast by Republicans. That is good partisanship!
“Nominally, there is one executive for every eight federal employees, a ratio that would bankrupt many private industries.”
Martin L. Gross
The corrupt Bill Clinton paid a settlement of $850,000 on November 13, 1998 to accuser Paula Jones to settle the matter. Of course he lied and denied everything and was disbarred, which posed no problem to Clinton. He never practiced law anyway. The only jobs Clinton ever had were government jobs. He is still a hero to Democrats everywhere.

“No amount of talk about spending can change the reality that government power naturally grows.”
Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas 6-21-04)
Dr. Paul is considered an “extremist,” whatever that means, since he wants to get us out of these foreign hellholes and also votes against all foreign aid. This sounds sensible to me. Count me in as an extremist, also.
The economy is very bad but some companies keep rolling along nicely. Coca-Cola’s dividend has been raised 49 consecutive years. Pepsico has 39 straight years of dividend increases.
In 2010, 63 Democrats in Congress were defeated by Republicans, the biggest turnover for a party in power in House elections since 1938.
Bumper sticker of the day: I’m a Secret Member of the John Birch Society.
Must reads: John Ransom on Townhall.com, JoyTiz.com, IlanaMercer.com. I doubt you will see any of the three on television, even the supposedly “conservative” Fox network. Still, overrated Fox is better than the others.
“If you really think racism is a serious matter, you want the word to mean something definite and you want to make sure that innocent people are safe from false charges of it. Otherwise, the word merely becomes a weapon that can be picked up and wielded by opportunists and tyrants to create a climate of intimidation.”

The best of Fox Network has to be Judge Andrew Napolitano, a great American libertarian-conservative. Andrew should sue Democrat left-winger Janet Napolitano for desecrating the Napolitano family name.
Still growing: there were no Wal-Marts in Georgia until 1982, none in Florida or South Carolina until 1983. When Ronald Reagan was elected president, there were no Wal-Mart store in Georgia, South Carolina or Florida. I first went in a Wal-Mart store in suburban Houston in 1982. I was working in Houston again in 1984 (also twice there in 1983 and back again in 1985, five times total) when I spotted a Wal-Mart store in Lawrenceville, Georgia and thought, Wal-Mart apparently is expanding eastward. They added 278 additional stores in 2004 alone, more than one every two days. I started buying the stock about 1990; should have done so earlier. It’s still way ahead of the price then.
