The 34th Annual Miss Chieftain Pageant will be held November 19, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Theater. Tickets will be sold in advance and be available at the door. Seating is limited, so if you want to guarantee yourself a seat, you will need to see any Miss Chieftain contestant, the yearbook staff or Gina Cook about your advance tickets. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.
This year there are 15 lovely contestants in Miss Chieftain. The contestants’ day will begin with the interviews at 1:00 p.m. in the Dodge County High School Media Center. The Anchor Club will be hosting a reception for the girls also.
Miss Sarah Ashley Winans, last year’s queen, has been busy choreographing the opening number dance. The master of ceremonies is Quint Bush.
The night will be full of excellent entertainment, including the reigning Miss Chieftain Sarah Ashley Winans, Joni Bowen, 2009 Miss Chieftain, and the Georgia Peach Stomping Cloggers.
Trophies will be given for the top scorers in the interview, talent and the evening wear categories.
Trophies will also be given to the winning contestant for Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.
Flowers and trophies will be given to the first, second, third and fourth runners up. Flowers, trophies and a crown will be given to Miss Chieftain.
