Dodge County sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen Pontiac Firebird on Monday, November 14, from a location on Dove Lane near Eastman.
The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Murphy, North Carolina. The alleged suspect of the vehicle theft, Patricia Ann Waldroup (age 24), was arrested on outstanding felony warrants from Cherokee County, North Carolina. Waldroup has been booked into the Dodge County jail and is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
Dodge sheriff’s investigators have arrested 2 local men in connection with the theft of three (3) Mazda Rx-7 vehicles from a location off of Congo Lane in Eastman.
The vehicle’s were being stored by the owner and were crushed and sold for scrap metal by the alleged suspects. Dereck Dupree (age 18), and Damien Christopher Dupree (age 17,) both of Eastman addresses, have been charged with three (3) counts of felony theft by taking of a motor vehicle.
Sheriff’s investigators have solved two (2) burglaries and made arrests in those cases. The burglaries occurred on West Chicken Road and Nobles Road near Chester.
Two (2) men have been arrested and a third arrest is pending in the case, according to Investigators. Eric Jackson Davidson (age 21), of Dudley, and Burnard Louis Sharpe (age 45), of Dublin, have each been charged with (2) counts of burglary and theft by taking in connection with cases.
Investigators have arrested two (2) people in connection with the theft of a grain spreader on the Chester Highway near Larry Sanders Road. The grain spreader had been sold for scrap metal by the suspects. Adreain Spradley (age 34), of Chester, and Preston Hordge (age 40), of Macon, have both been charged with felony theft by taking in connection with the case. Hordge was also wanted on outstanding felony warrants out of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The rise in the price of pecans has caused an increase in the theft of those agriculture products. Sheriff’s deputies were called last Friday to pecan orchards on the Orphans Cemetery Road after a landowner called 911. Deputies have arrested three (3) individuals after the landowner wished to press charges. Jason Michael Jackson (age 31), Katrina Rena Jackson (age 38), and Christina Ladonna Ramirez (age 29), all of Eastman, have been charged with theft by taking. About seventy pounds of pecans were returned to the owner. The Jackson couple was also wanted on outstanding arrest warrants from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
A clarification to last week’s story: the suspect arrested for possession of marijuana as the result of deputies being dispatched to a shooting on the Soperton Road was given as Ashley Deloach (age 26). The suspect’s legal name should have been listed as Ashley Kline Deloach.
