President Obama’s reelection fundraiser in Los Angeles, where rich Democrat folks turned out to hear Obama bash the rich, was loaded with pro athletes and leftwing Hollywood stars. No news photographers were allowed. Tickets cost $36,800 per person. Eva Longoria introduced Obama to a wealthy crowd, including former basketballer Magic Johnson and actor Will Smith.
After relieving these well-heeled leftists of plenty of loot, Obama stopped at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in West L.A., where photographers were welcome to cover the event, which was scripted to appeal to blue collar workers. Obama was one of the people, dined at waffle shops and felt the pain of working Americans. The glitzy L.A. fundraiser didn’t fit the image he sought to project so he kept photographers away. Always remember - Obama feels our pain, just like the Clintons!
Flush with money from the L.A. event, Obama headed to Houston, Texas on November 1, where former Enron executive John Arnold, a 37-year old billionaire hedge fund trader, was to hold another fundraiser for the Obama campaign. The admission price in Houston was a minimum of $10,000. Co-host level contributions were $35,800, according to Politico.com. These leftists don’t play around for peanuts. John Arnold is ranked #212 in a 2010 Forbes magazine list of the world’s billionaires, with a net worth of $4,000,000,000, or 4,000 x $1,000,000,000 or $4 billion.
Remember, the media will tell you this is the party of the little folks, the downtrodden, the disadvantaged. Republicans are the “party of the rich,” according to media lore. While $35,000 is about poverty level income for a Texas family of three, these characters get $35,800 a head by hosting rich folks who pay to hear another rich guy bash the wealthy. It has always amazed me how many wealthy people are liberal Democrats, while more and more working class whites are Republicans.
On a list of Top 10 Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) compiled by Human Events in October 2005, #8 was Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Romney once said, “abortion should be safe and legal in this country.” He also supported strict gun control laws (so did Ross Perot) and same sex civil unions. Why mention Perot? I got tired of hearing “conservative” Republican voters telling me in 1992 and afterward that
Perot was a conservative. He was a liberal Democrat phony.
As for Multiple Choice Mitt, now veering right again to win the Republican nomination, global warming is something he was for before he was against it, somewhat. “We don’t know what’s causing climate change,” now says Mitt.
Is Herman Cain the new Ronald Reagan? Ronnie was dismissed by the political “experts” as just an actor, too conservative, couldn’t win in November. He won every November he was on the ballot, twice as governor, twice as president. He took 44 states in 1980 and 49 in 1984. If he could’ve run again in 1988 for a third term he’d probably have won all 57 states. I just had to say that.
“One of the big knocks against Cain is that he has no foreign policy experience. The same argument was made against Reagan, the man who was credited with winning the Cold War. What short memories we have!”

Alan Caruba on Vice Plagiarist Joe Biden:
“Biden is a buffoon, but worse than that, he has zero command of the facts and an alarming characteristic which he shares with Obama; he lies about everything all the time.”
Political pollster Tracy Costin entered a guilty plea in federal court on 9-7-06 of faking poll results. Among her clients were George W. Bush and Joe Lieberman. Ms. Costin, who ran DATAUSA, paid a hefty fine and served a couple of years in prison.
