Lady Indians end softball season

Dodge had rough times in the first game of the double header. The Lady Indians traveled 1-0 in the second. Hannah and Annie Moore each had singles with one out.They wouldn’t score and Dodge still trailed 1-0. Brantley would blow things open in the second with six runs to take a 7-0 lead. Dodge would get singles from Nikki Graham, Caitlin Greer and Jaye Hilliard, but Brantley would keep hitting for an 11-0 win.

The Lady Indians would trail 2-0 as they came to bat in the bottom of the first. Claire Greer would double with one out. Katie Selph would single her in with two outs to cut the game to 2-1. That would be as close as Dodge would get as Brantley would add runs in the second, fourth and fifth innings to take a 6-1 lead to the bottom of the sixth. Nikki Graham would single to lead off the inning. Jaye Hilliard would single her in with two outs to cut the game to 6-2. Brantley would add a pair of runs in the seventh for the 8-2 final. Katie Selph would lead Dodge with three hits and an RBI.
