The leaves are falling and there’s a cool brisk of air in the morning. The downtown lamp posts are decorated and the merchant store windows are filled with the colors of fall – all signs that fall has arrived!
It’s time to gather in downtown Eastman for the 12th annual fall festival on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m.
The downtown merchants anxiously await the trick-or-treators to gather downtown from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. to collect their candy and to show off their costumes.
Other festivities will begin at 12:00 noon featuring games, food vendors, hay rides, pony rides, cake walk, arts and crafts, a motorcycle show and parade, costume contest and live music featuring the Rocky Creek Band and Tymbral.
Walk the streets of downtown Eastman and visit the retail shops and enjoy all the fun-filled activities. You will fall for Eastman!
A Gunrunners knife and gun show will be held at the Terry L. Coleman Conference Center on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that will conclude the weekend of fall festivities. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Sure, some kids need to learn better manners, but they get excited about this stuff.
And you need to realize, too, that some children may be the SIZE of an adult, but are still just kids.
If the bit extra it costs to allow these kids to be kids just one more year is bugging you so bad, maybe you can ask for donations.~ ??
