The Dodge County Indians (2-3) traveled to Brooklet this past Friday night to play the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (1-5) in a regular season region game. The Indians looked to improve their overall record, but more importantly, looked to improve their region wins in the 3AA region.
The Indians first score of the game came with minutes of the game when D’Eric McNair (#11) led the Indians into Jacket territory to the 9-yard line. McNair carried the ball 9-yards into the end zone for a Dodge County touchdown. The extra point attempt by Walt Turner (#86) was good. Dodge County lead the game 7-0 with six minutes, four seconds left to play in the first quarter.
Southeast Bulloch took possession of the ball on their opening drive. The Yellow Jackets moved the ball down field but were stopped by the Indian defense forcing a fourth down punt to the Indians.
The Indians took their second possession of the first quarter and marched quickly down field to the 15-yard line. With one minute remaining in the first quarter, McNair threw a 15-yard pass to Javier Spencer (#12) who ran into the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point attempt by Turner was good and Dodge County lead the ball game 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
