How is Britain’s version of “free medicine for all” doing? Not very well. This is the way we’re headed under “Obama care.” The government doesn’t care. There are millions of votes to be bought. In Britain:
“Thirty-five percent of kidney dialysis centers refuse to treat patients over 55 years of age! While the elderly are denied access to health care, the poor are neglected as well. Studies in Britain, Sweden, Canada and New Zealand indicate that people with high social standing receive 2-6 times more health care than the less affluent. National health programs even fail to deliver equal care!”

You would think today’s pressing issues would prod people to vote, but turnout continues to be low. Only about 60 percent of those eligible to vote are registered and usually a small fraction of those bother to vote, particularly in primaries and special elections. Primaries usually have a fairly good range of candidates yet most voters wait until November to act, if they bother to vote at all, when the choices are limited.
