The Dodge Middle School Warriors continued their 2011 football season last Thursday as they traveled to Dublin to play West Laurens. The Warriors struggled in their season opening loss to Dublin.
Dodge played much better against the Raiders, but a second half touchdown would lead to a 16-8 Dodge loss. The Warriors will return home this Thursday against Vidalia with a 4:30 p.m. start.
Dodge got on the board late in the first half. Clint Thompson hit DeMarcus McClinton with a 10-yard touchdown. Fullback Kyle Glover scored the extra point and the Warriors would tie the game at 8-8 at the half.
The game remained tied at 8-8 for most of the half before a late touchdown would seal a 16-8 win for the Raiders.
The Dodge defense played a strong game with Kyle Glover, Alex White and Aaron Spires playing strong games.
