Dodge Superior Court disposes of many cases
Many cases were heard in Dodge Superior Court recently. The following are the results of those cases.
Anthony Brown was charged with one count felony obstruction of an officer, which was reduced to misdemeanor obstruction. He received 12-months probation to run concurrent with prior sentence.
Sidney Edward Goodwin was charged with one count felony obstruction of an officer, which was reduced to misdemeanor obstruction of an officer. He received a $500.00 fine and 12-months probation; one count felony interference with government property. He received a $750.00 fine and 12-months probation to run concurrent.
Flora Bennett Wells was charged with one count felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. She received a $2,500.00 fine and five years probation to run concurrent with prior probation.
Rosemary Parr was charged with one count felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. She received a $1000.00 fine and six years probation.
Johnny Andrew McGill was charged with one count felony first-degree forgery. He will serve two years to run concurrent with prior sentence.
Jerome Solomon was charged with one count felony printing, or executing, the negotiation of checks and drafts. He received a $1,000.00 fine, pay $327.58 restitution, and five year probation to run consecutive with prior sentence.
Shannon Williams was charged with one count felony theft by taking. She received a $800.00 fine and five years probation under the First Offender Act (FOA).
Bobby Dupree was charged with three counts of theft by taking. He received a $700.00 fine for each count, and six years probation for each count to run concurrent under the FOA.
Brad Dupree was charged with three counts of theft by taking. He received a $700.00 fine for each count, and six years probation for each count to run concurrent under the FOA.
Matthew Valentino Hickman was charged with one count felony failure to register as a sex offender/failure to comply. He received a $1000.00 fine and ten years probation.
Jeremy Elie Gaskins was charged with one count felony theft by taking. He received a $1000.00 fine and five years probation; one year to run concurrent.
Jonathan Dustin Higgins was charged with one counts felony possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He received a $800.00 fine and four years probation; one count misdemeanor headlights. He received a $100.00 fine and 12 months probation, and one count misdemeanor marijuana less than one ounce. He received a $500.00 fine and 12-months probation to run concurrent with prior sentences.
David E. Smith was charged with one felony count theft by taking, which was reduced to misdemeanor theft. He received a $500.00 fine, pay $699.38 restitution and 12-months probation.
Shannon Williams was charged with two counts felony first-degree forgery. She received six months probation on each count, a $500.00 fine on each count, and must pay restitution under the FOA.
April Thomas was charged with one count felony theft by taking. She received a $500.00 fine, pay $1,400.00 restitution and ten years probation.
Tevin Riley was charged with one count felony weapons on school safety zones/ bldgs/grounds. He received three years probation under FOA, and a fine. Riley was also charged under the FOA, one count misdemeanor criminal trespass, and one count misdemeanor simple battery. He received 12 months probation on each count to run concurrent with prior probation and 80 hours community service.
Earl Allen Richards was charged with one count felony possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. He received a $235.00 fine and five years probation; one count misdemeanor driving while license is suspended or revoked. He received a $1,500.00 fine; and one count misdemeanor driving under the influence (DUI) drugs. He received a $900.00 fine, 12 months probation on each misdemeanor count that will run concurrent with prior sentence, 30 hours community service, and 180-210 days to serve in a detention center.
Kyle Flanders was charged with one count misdemeanor theft by taking. He received a $350.00 fine, pay $91.50 restitution and 12 months probation.
Donald Eugene White was charged with one count misdemeanor driving while license is suspended or revoked. He received $1,500.00 fine, 12 months probation and 15 days to serve in jail.
Katrina Papel was charged with one count misdemeanor DUI alcohol. She received a $700.00 fine, 12 months probation and 40 hours community service.
William Jenkins was charged with one count misdemeanor driving while license is suspended or revoked. He received a $500.00 fine and 12 months probation; one count misdemeanor no proof of insurance. She received a $200.00 fine and one count misdemeanor criminal trespass. She received a $700.00 fine and 12 months probation to run concurrent with prior sentence.
Verdell Bray was charged with one count misdemeanor obstruction of an officer for which he received a $200.00 fine and six months probation.
Steven George was charged with one count misdemeanor simple battery – family violence for which he received a $300.00 fine and 12 months probation.
Bryan Floyd was charged with one count misdemeanor battery for which he received a $300.00 fine and 12 months probation.
Tracy Branch was charged with one count misdemeanor unlawful to obtain or give to inmate any item for which she received a $300.00 fine and 12 months probation.
Bradley Stephen Hargrove was charged with one count misdemeanor marijuana – less than one ounce for which he received a $500.00 fine and 12 months probation.
Eddie Jiminez was charged with one count misdemeanor battery for which he received a $600.00 fine and 12 months probation, which will terminate upon payment after one year.
Dasha Simmons was charged with one count misdemeanor DUI alcohol for which he received a $700.00 fine and 12 months probation, one count misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident which received a $500.00 fine and 12 months probation to run consecutive with prior sentence, and one count misdemeanor open container violation for which he received 24 hours in jail and 40 hours community service.
Wright William Weeks was charged with 19 counts misdemeanor of unlawful to tattoo the body of any person under the age of 18, and one count misdemeanor operation of a tattoo studio without a valid permit. He received 12 months probation on each count to run concurrent and a $1000.00 fine.

Staffing can creates more jobs here. To have built it, is like putting the cart before the horse.
If the old jail is not up to speed according to fire code standards then it is a disaster waiting to happen if a fire breaks out. Then we might see the ACLU in here like white on rice and I'm sure Dodge County cannot stand up to a lawsuit since it cannot keep people employed.
