Dear editor,
Let me see if I understand this, ejected in the second game of the season. I could start off by saying “I told you so” or I could say, “We all know a leopard cannot change his spots”. Then again, I could ask “What was the Dodge County Board of Education thinking when the new head football coach was hired?” Now we know they all apply so I’ll just say “all of the above”. I guess my only surprise was how early in the season it happened. If I had taken part in a lottery guessing the game he would get ejected first, I would have opted for the Dublin game. We all know his history, the same thing happened last year at his previous coaching position. Temper tantrums on the sideline are part of his MO. Once again, our elected officials have brought shame on the citizens of Dodge County.
I realize some board members have accused me of having hate in my body. I don’t have hate toward anybody. All I have is concern for the students of Dodge County who must live everyday with the decisions of the Board of Education. Keep in mind; the hiring of this head football coach is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many officials holding administrative positions in the school system that were hired because they are the board’s family members or personal friends. If you speak to a board member, ask that person two questions. First, do you have a family member working for the school? If the answer is yes, then ask was that person hired as the most qualified applicant for that position or for being a family member of board personnel. Our students deserve the most qualified staff in our schools and the citizens of Dodge County deserve the most efficient use of taxpayer funds.
Once again, I appeal to all citizens of Dodge County to vote these board members out in the next election. A vote for any incumbent means you endorse the behavior of the coach that was ejected and had to sit out the next game since he was their personal choice for that position.

Remember in the 1970s when we were told the world oil supply would be going dry in ten years? Now hysterical leftists are saying we will be wiped out by global warming in twelve years. The oil problem somehow worked out and now we are a net exporter of oil.
Confused motorist Miriam Carey was gunned down by Capital Police as she drove away from the White House on October 3, 2013 – remember? She made a U-turn, sped away, confused, and drew a police chase. Big media quickly ran away from the story after a couple of weeks. I mention this to show the selective media coverage of these tragedies. Guaranteed: the anniversary of this horrible event on October 3 will pass without mention, now six years later. The police shot Ms. Carey in the back of the head about a mile away from the White House with her 13-month old baby strapped in the back seat of her car. The police later investigated themselves and decided they had done nothing wrong, of course, after killing her, while supposedly protecting the D.C. incrowd from harm. Ms. Carey was black but Revs. Sharpton and Jackson had nothing to say about the tragedy. She was viewed as a threat to the political class. Members of Congress stood up and applauded the police when word quickly came out that she had been shot dead. She was unarmed, no threat to anyone and should never have been attacked. Oddly enough, no member of Congress seemed interested. Somehow the shooting did not fit the media narrative. Her child will grow up without knowing her mother, a senseless and hideous act drawing sensational coverage for a few days and being quickly dropped down the memory hole. This could happen to any of us and we can see the political class doesn’t care.

Wealthy Democrat former Maryland Congressman John Delaney is running for president and has spent $1.9 million in television ads in Iowa – a total waste of money. Of course a couple of months back some phony poll claimed every Democrat candidate was polling ahead of President Trump. Delaney was at 0.00 %. You trust polls, don’t you?

Good for William
William Shuttleworth finished his 3,600 mile walk from Massachusetts to San Diego, Ca. to draw attention to military veterans’ issues. Good for William, a retired educator and Air Force Veteran, who spent 108 days on foot and turned 72 during the walk, starting on May 15, finishing on August 31. Read more at Vets DontForgetVets.com. He was on his fifth pair of walking shoes when he finished. How about a shoe contract for William? He says people he met on the walk were great.
The Dow Jones stock average was 18,200 the day Donald Trump was elected in November 2016, went over 26,000 as of 8-17-19, a 29% increase. Savvy investors add some shares each month, even $100 or so. Of course starting early is important but it’s never too late. Always remember opportunity cost, two important words. Buy quality companies also. Berkshire Hathaway B Has averaged 20 percent per year for 50 years, showing the success of long term investing. I’m no expert – always check with an investment adviser.

Letter to the editor
Dear editor,
Are some people too stupid to vote? It kind of reminds me of a professor in college who gave a lighthearted story in a political science class I took some time back. It goes like this: An individual called a computer technician saying they needed help fixing their new computer. What is wrong, said the technician? The owner of the computer said “my computer screen went dark” was the reply, “is it plugged in”?, the tech asked. The response was, “Thank goodness the moonlight is bright enough for me to see since the lights went out.” The tech then said “Do you still have the box that came with the computer? “Yes”, was the response. The technician then said, “put your computer back in the box and ship it back, you are too stupid to own a computer.”
Could it be some people are too stupid to vote? The answer in my age demographics is clearly yes! And this is no dig at just democrat voters, it centers on this new millennial age generation, either voting block, take your pick. You just have to watch the newscast about healthcare, socialism, housing and gun control to realize that many people, again, (millennial’s) have little or no knowledge of our Constitution, science, human psychology, world history or economics.
Heck, these idiots, a third of them can’t even pass a standard armed force written test to enlist, can’t pass a city, state, or federal civil service test for a job, they can’t make change out of a dollar without a calculator, and can’t name what our three branches of government are. Just as with means testing for people on welfare, short meaning: Whether an individual or family is eligible for government assistance based on “means” to do without.
The same standards should apply to these idiots who walk around in the streets with misspelled words on protest signs. (Polce Brutelity” No Justece No piece” and hollering with spittle drooling out of their mouth, “Where is my free stuff?”.
And those people on welfare wouldn’t know what a job was if it bit them in the butt!
If some kind of test could be put forth on these morons, perhaps this country could be the standard barrier it once was.

Random thoughts

Be careful how you vote. A vote for Ross Perot was a vote for his pal Bill Clinton and Bubba Bill never appointed a conservative to anything. Clinton also appointed Sleepy Ginsberg and Steven Breyer to the Supreme Court plus plenty of Federal Judges. In contrast, Donald Trump has appointed two fine Supreme Court justices and 108 Federal Judges, all life-tenured. Jimmy Carter’s Federal Judges are still around. Of course John Paul Stevens, maybe the most liberal judge on the Court was a Gerald Ford (liberal Republican) appointment. He was around for years after Ford left the White House. Ford also claimed Ronald Reagan was a weak candidate who couldn’t win the general election in 1976 and 1980.
Liberal vote-siphoner Ross Perot turned 89 on June 27, 2019. He was right on one thing – he was against NAFTA. He’s for abortion rights, for gun control, anti-tax cuts.
“Obama possessed the most important quality of an activist: anger and resentment against the American society, in spite of a cocooned lifestyle.”
Fred Mora on LibertyUnbound.com 11-11-2012
Vote buying 101: “Lots of Americans won’t vote for any candidate who preaches self-reliance when they can vote for a candidate who wages class warfare and promises them free stuff.”
Bernard Goldberg on Bernard Goldberg.com
“Freedom is coming to mean little more than the right to ask permission.”
Joseph Sobran Sobran.com
From Rico on TheoSpark.net: “Don’t worry, ONLY 5-10% of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, ONLY 7% of Germans were Nazis. How did that work out?”
Some never learn – Dennis Prager said in September 2016 polls showed 81 percent of Jewish voters planned to vote for Hillary Clinton. Dennis is Jewish and of course was savvy enough to vote for Trump and will do so again.
