Do you trust polls? Two weeks before the 2016 election, liberal site PoliticsUSA.com claimed a poll in Kentucky showed Donald Trump had nearly blown a 12 point lead and barely led Hillary Clinton. On election day Trump won the state easily. Trump 62.3%, Clinton 32.5%, a 29.8 % margin. If anyone paid for that poll they should be issued a refund.
Just after his election, Mr. Trump got quick action on the Carrier Air Conditioning jobs, keeping most of them in Indiana instead of moving to Mexico as Carrier had planned. I’ve never heard of such instant results from a president-elect before he assumed office, and this was the beginning of a good run. Musician and Trump supporter Kid Rock was right when he said, “Let the business guy run the country like a business.”

Open Borders is a dangerous concept – look at the crimes committed by unvetted illegals, all considered pre-Democrats. That’s why the Demoleft welcomes them. Unfortunately, there is also a well-funded open borders wing of the Republican Party. The Libertarian-losertarian Party was pushing open borders years back, in the 1970s, probably does today, still stuck at around one or two percent of the vote every four years.
We gave away $56 billion to foreign governments last year. Ten percent of that waste would fund the border wall: $5.6 B, and it would pay for itself rather quickly. Congressmen Ron [Full Story »]

Letter to the editor
Dear editor,
Crying for help.
Although there is no presence of tears, our younger generation is crying.
In their own way they are saying, “I am tired of living and I am afraid to die”. God blessed man and a woman with the ability to bring a child into the world and they are told how to raise the child. Children for failing because of their first school, the home. Parents and many other adults have become more comfortable with pleasing children rather than loving them. We are failing in discipline and holding our younger generation accountable for their actions.
We are failing in training children in the ways of our Lord and Savior. Are we doing more than just going to church?
There was a time our young boys and girls were going from holding hands to the wedding band. Now we just accept the life style of living together with no commitment. It was our Heavenly who said no sex before marriage.
When we celebrate with a baby shower, we are saying that God’s word does not count. Is it that hard to get back to loving children for who they are instead of who they are not? There will always be times when some will go in the wrong direction, however we must balance each day with the power in our hand and with the love of God in our heart.
Always look to history to prevent past mistakes and to Christ for guidance. I pray that most of this nation will remember that Jesus is the answer for our world today; without him there is no other for Jesus is the way. Lord bless and Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you beautiful ladies.

Roger Stone overkill
I hate to see Laura Ingraham ending her radio show after 17 ½ years. She’s probably the best of all the talk hosts and I liked her radio show better than the television show. I get tired of all the liberals she kept inviting to the TV show. I made it a point to keep up with both when possible.
Home Depot stock, up and down but mostly up, was selling at 10.61 on Mar. 29, 1996, price adjusted for splits and after a big drop was 170.22 on Dec. 28, 2018, still up more than 16 times. Not long ago I remember it was 210 or so. I use this as an example of when I bought a house in increasingly diverse Gwinnett County, Ga. In March of 1996 (we’re still in it). People who tell you to pay extra on your mortgage might not be giving you the best advice – you can do better. Invest something every month in quality stocks, even $100 or so, was good advice from Lucien Hooper. That’s one difference between financial advisors Dave Ramsey and Ric Edelman. Take advantage of dips in the market. I say take the advice of Ric Edelman (RicEdelman.com). Dave Ramsey has some good ideas but he also tells you not to buy individual stocks. I think he’s way off on that one when he says buy only mutual funds. He’s a debt freak. Ric Edelman says get a long mortgage and never pay it off. I agree with that. A mortgage is the cheapest loan you can get. Always remember the two words opportunity cost. The lender cannot cancel your mortgage if you’re keeping up your payments. The law was different during the Depression. They could call your mortgage, giving you 120 days to pay it off completely and few could – a horrible outcome. Then it was wise to pay it off. Always check with your attorney on any of this. I hate car payments and drive old paid-for cars but have changed my views on mortgages over the years. I know a CPA who tells me to pay off the house first. He’s smarter than I am but I think he’s wrong on this. Most people pay off the mortgage. That doesn’t mean they are doing the right thing. Most voters in ’64 voted for the hideous LBJ. They definitely did the wrong thing. I’m glad I voted for Goldwater.
How could Stacey Abrams graduate from Yale Law School and still refer to the USA as a democracy?
“More than 10,000 elderly Swedes are homeless while migrants get everything free.”

You ARE a regular reader of LewRockwell.com aren’t you? It’s a great read, always interesting. I agree with most of the writing there – sometimes I cringe when I see something there but it’s way better than most daily newspapers. This newspaper is a good one, of course.

Letter to the editor
Dear editor,
From growing up both in Eastman and Tampa, Florida, I have witnessed a deep chasm in the American people to including the American systems of our laws. Myself and so many other Americans see examples of tribalism in all the arenas of our society right now. The general public’s understanding of our systems of laws is at best minimal, to downright moronic.
In many ways it reflects the dissonance between my generation and this new demographics we call millennials now that are so dog gone stupid that a third of them couldn’t pass a simple civil service exam to get a job in city, state and federal level of employment.
Just for the fun of it, Google some silly a---” protest march on whatever the stupid protest is about, and observe the signs that the protesters are holding in misspelled words, this particular one got my attention: (Ferguson, Missouri riots three years ago. “Police Brutalty” “Hand up, dont shoots” or how about, and my favorite, “wear is my free stuf”)
Yes, history is never neat or linear. 20th Century was a time of American hegemony of pop culture around the world, chivalry in respect to women, ethos, norms and morals that existed then that now 21st Century has proven to be a period of dysfunction, discontent and a deep decline in moral behavior, openly homosexuality in marketing, military, and even our churches that has been foisted upon the American people. And yes, what group of folks are salivating like Pavlov’s Dog in this morass of quicksand to the abyss of hell. The democrat voting block. Pick your side America, God don’t send you to hell, you send your own self to hell. And for goodness sake, learn to spell when holding a goofy protest sign!

Roger Stone overkill
Former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio (remember Sheriff Joe?) commented on the heavy-handed pre-dawn FBI raid on Roger Stone (StoneZone.com) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida: “I’ve been busting down doors for 50 years, and I’ve never sent that many units, not even to the baddest murderers.”
Judge Jeanine Pirro on the overkill at Roger Stone’s Florida home: “This show was an attempt to embarrass and to intimidate Stone. He wasn’t a flight risk and he had no guns. His passport was expired, or just about to expire.
Mueller’s intent was to poison the jury pool to make Stone seem like public enemy No. 1, and his indictment is not even for a violent crime. It has nothing to do with Russia or collusion.”
Judge Jeanine Pirro in WesternJournal.com 1-29-19
Yet another reason to implement loser pays tort reform. Mueller and many previous vengeful prosecutors with agendas would be paying a fortune to their victims. Remember former Labor Secretary Ray Donovan and his famous reply when vindicated on phony bribery charges after spending millions to defend his name: “Where do I go to get my reputation back?”
How much did the showbiz militarized raid on Roger Stone cost American taxpayers? Don’t forget, they could’ve contacted him or his attorney and arranged a surrender. This was a political stunt by creepy Robert Mueller. Mrs. Stone’s deafness could’ve resulted in tragedy – failure to comply, didn’t understand the orders because of hearing impairment, you know the drill.
Usually the parting media take when a bogus case fails to convict is – he got off on a technicality. That’s how they excuse this travesty.
Completely outside the realm of moral thought – abortion rights, the “pro-choice” movement. Dennis Prager points out that one person solely decides this. “You can’t do anything you like with a child or a pet but you can with a fetus.”
