The 2018 Dodge County Indians recently participated in the 7 on 7 passing camp in preparation for the 2018 football season. The players ran through drills and practices to enhance and develop skills to help them on the field. The Indians will ahve a tough scheduled this season but look forward to wins. The Dodge County season will begin on Friday, August 10, 2017 with their scrimmage game against Hawkinsville at home. The regular season will begin August 17, 2017 against Bradwell Institute at Bradwell Institute. (Photos by Jennifer Peacock)

Chip Burch was awarded the 2018 Derek ‘Dee’ Taylor Memorial Scholarship. Burch is the 14th honoree to receive the award. Taylor’s father, in memory of Dee, awards the scholarship. Dee played baseball at Dodge County High School and Brewton Parker College. Taylor’s father, Derek, is pictured with Burch, in front of the memorial sign to Dee at the Dodge County Recreation Department.

The Dodge County Recreation Department is using your Special Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) dollars to sod the infield of field number five. Work began Monday and with the help of four Dodge County High School football players and the recreation department staff, was completed on Tuesday. All five fields have had significant work done on them in the last two years.
