Dear editor,
The Bank of Eastman Junior Board program has been very helpful in directing me into becoming a more dependable and economically smart person. Firstly, I have learned a lot about how to save and deposit money correctly, as well as about credit, loans, credit reports, budgeting and other banking topics. Learning tips on how to save money has really opened my eyes about what to consider when buying by asking myself is it a need or a want. This will especially be beneficial when I go off to college. Secondly, I have learned about bank security from BOE Security Officer Otis Goolsby. When you’re at a bank or even in the public be very cautious of the people around you. People may have small but distinct features that could indicate that he or she could try to steal or cause havoc that could put someone’s life at risk. Thirdly, the BOE Junior Board program also has great mentors that come in and teach us new ways that can make banking or job interviewing easier. For example, we had a bank representative come in and teach us how to deposit money through our cell phones using the Bank of Eastman mobile app. I enjoy this new idea since you don’t have to make plans to drive to a nearby bank just to deposit a check. We also had a mentor that’s a professor at Middle Georgia State University on the Cochran campus. She taught human relations, and gave us very important information about the proper way to ask for and perform a job interview, and how to write a resume.
My personal favorite part of the junior board program is being able to give back to the community. Some of the ways we are able to do this is by helping with the Downtown Fall Festival, being a part of the DCHS Homecoming parade and game, and North and South Dodge Elementary school events. Not only do we give back to the community we also give to other countries by participating in Operation Christmas Child. We are making new clothes from old Bank of Eastman shirts, and are giving it to children in need. Another fun activity of the Junior Board is meeting new Junior Board members from other locations. So far during my time I have made so many memories, and I hope to make many more during my term. The knowledge that I have gained will be useful in the future. I highly advise any upcoming sophomore to seek out and join the junior board.

Dear editor:
As America stands on the prefaces of a free election of taking this country back from a lawless president and his democratic feckless administration, it perhaps may very well be in vain considering the plurality of the republican voters doing what they do best, picking a loser once again.
The prohibitive favorite, (Donald Trump) who burst into the political arena with certain harmful habits. These include, campy pre-stage clichés, empty slogans, fatuous behavior, and ad-hominem verbal attacks on his own republican peers. Such reckless language and discordance behavior speaks volumes of Mr. Trump’s real resume, and moreover, the republican voter are just as complicit in this too; many of them from my perception have come to confuse cruelty, vulgarity and blister with strength and straight talk. Of course, with the real viable republican candidate and standard barrier (Ted Cruz) who is a purest, textualist in the constitution, and God believing of the Holy Trinity should have been leading right now. It still might be too early to know what will come of all this. With prayer, one can only hope that the remaining states don’t fall drunk with stupidity as did my home states of Georgia and Florida and instead wake up and smell the coffee of good countenance and ethos of past grace and joie de vivre.
If the continuous trend of stupor and lethargy by more republican voters in the remaining 19 primaries for a GOP nominee Mr. Trump this fall, you will see a complete blowout win by the democratic choice (Hillary Clinton) by all measures should be serving time in federal prison. And essentially, a third term Obama presidency.
These democrats are hoping for a primary Trump win. After all, with Hillary, it’s more free stuff isn’t it?
So for you republican voters who gave us another dog gone loser, you idiots deserve all the misery you get! You had every opportunity follow God’s direction and like the other morons before you in antiquity time, your fate awaits you too! Who was the one who said, (“I’m without sin, I don’t need God’s forgiveness”?) Hey there Trump fan, it was Donald Trump who have said that many times in his speeches. You so called evangelicals, you hypercritics, you’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing. or perhaps, Col. Sanders getting the chickens to vote for him.

New deputy coroner is sworn in
Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith has appointed Lisa Gilmore deputy coroner. She began her duties effective Tuesday, March 15, 2016 after being sworn in by Dodge County Probate Judge Al McCranie.
Gilmore has worked as a sub-contractor with both Scottish Rite and Eagleston Pediatric Hospital when child deaths occurred doing autopsies and with the Georgia tissue bank to harvest tissue for burn units. In addition to six years experience with our local sheriff’s office in the jail, patrol and investigations, she brings experience from careers in Fulton County as a crime scene investigation and Atlanta as a forensic technician.
When asked about her new position, Gilmore commented, “I am excited and honored to be given the opportunity to work with Joe Smith. I know he takes pride in the office of coroner and I’ve seen first hand, working on different cases in the past, the compassion he has for people and the office he holds. I’ve been blessed over the years to work in a field most people can’t imagine. I take pride in helping the living that are hurting and grieving, but I care just as much for the voice that has been silenced. I am passionate about finding justice for those that can no longer speak for themselves and helping those grieving to find comfort and closure. If I can help comfort one person dealing with overwhelming grief or find answers for those that are now silent, it’s worth all the work. I always want to be what God would have for me to be doing for someone else and that is what this job is about, helping the grieving and being a voice for those that can no longer speak for themselves. Thank you Joe Smith for having faith in me to work in a position that is truly a calling to help others”.
Gilmore joins current deputy coroner of eight years, Jay Coleman. Coleman is a full time Dodge County EMS paramedic. Smith stated, “I am proud to add another valuable asset to my team and look forward to working with Gilmore and what she can bring to the credibility of Eastman and Dodge County through the coroner’s office.
Gilmore is married to Rev. Ricky Gilmore and they have three children, Jeremy, Natalie and Ashtein and three grandchildren Caleb, Caylee and Raelyn.

The Bonnie and Clyde of politics
Good description: Conservative writer Larry Klayman on RenewAmerica.com calls Hillary and Bill Clinton “the Bonnie and Clyde of politics.”
“We’ve allowed the intimidators to operate freely in American society,” says the great talk host Laura Ingraham.
I’m guessing the inside the Beltway Republicans, particularly Reince Priebus and Karl Rove, know they are going to be tossed aside by Cruz or Trump after one wins the presidency. If the Demoleft party wins in November, these winless establishment characters keep their “leadership” positions in the Republican Party, at least until the next election. They win by losing. They lost in 2008 and 2012 but kept their cushy jobs.
“As in 1964 and 1980, a new Republican Party is taking shape. Defections are to be expected, and not altogether unwelcome.”
Pat Buchanan on VDARE.com 2-19-16
Rich people love illegal immigration and its cheap labor, but not the American working people, the ones it hurts. Of course, regular working folks have more votes than the wealthy people.
DailyKenn.blogspot.com says “30,000 showed up at a Trump campaign rally in Madison, Ala. Meanwhile, the mainstream national media is distracted by reports that David Duke has endorsed Trump.”
Remember “Operation Wetback” in the 1950s? Imagine using that term today. President Dwight Eisenhower, not really a conservative, stopped the inflow of illegal aliens from Mexico. Whiners claim it can’t be done. We had only 1,075 agents in the U.S. Border Patrol then, less than ten percent of today’s border force.
Operation Wetback (a no-no term today) was a big success in the fifties and could be repeated today. Read the full story on TheAmericanFreedomParty.us.
Vice Plagiarist Joe Biden went to Mexico City recently and apologized for Republican campaign rhetoric about Mexico and Mexican immigrants. It was nice of Joe to care about the opposition, wasn’t it?
Arizona’s former Governor Jan Brewer endorsed Donald Trump for president on 2-27-16. Arizona has been overrun by illegals in recent years.
