Trump was right
If President Obama is serious about gun control he should be willing to make the White House a gun-free zone.

Letter to the editor
Dear editor,
Now that we have celebrated the birth of Jesus, is he gone and forgotten? Not so, he is forever with us. Millions will seem to forget the name for another year, but Jesus sees us day and night.
He has seen our end from the beginning and our tomorrow before we see today. With all the problems this nation and others have today, things will not get better as long as this nation keeps turning away from its creator. Any nations that’s leaders are saying that God’s word doesn’t count are suffering.
Marriage between a man and a woman continues to become a thing of the past. How deadly will it become when we approve same-sex marriage? Americans are turning away from the Holy Bible, which is our basic instruction before leaving this earth.
This nation was based and started on religious freedom, which seems to disappear with separation of church and state. We do not need God to bless America, but Americans need to get back to blessing of God through his son Jesus Christ.
The Holy Bible tells us to train up a child that when he or she gets older, they will not depart. If our young generation knows and understands that Jesus raised the dead, gave sight to the blind and healed the sick while walking on water, they would know and understand that Jesus is a miracle worker and not a luck giver.
When it comes to Americans, they are not fighting a good fight because they are too busy taking too much time out. Americans are not turning away from their wicked ways so that God will heal their land, for America it’s simple, we need to fall down on our knees and ask God, whatever you are doing in this season, please don’t let Americans forget about you.
Amen and Lord bless,
Johnny L. Blacke, MSG (R)

Dodge agent is accused of insurance fraud
Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens announced recently that an insurance agent who owned and operated Charles Robinson Insurance Agency in Eastman, was arrested for insurance fraud.
Bleckley County law enforcement officers arrested Macie Anedra Yawn (age 27), of Cochran, for ten counts of insurance fraud on December 15.
According to the investigation by Hudgens’ Fraud Division, she was the sole agent. Allegedly, Yawn took payments intended to pay for insurance premiums and converted the money for her benefit.
Though the investigation uncovered numerous incidents where Yawn pocketed premium payments, there could be more individuals affected. Consumers who believe Ms. Yawn may have defrauded them can contact the Department of Insurance for more information.
“Alleged actions like Ms. Yawn’s not only damaged the trust consumers placed in her as an insurance agent, but also make everyone’s insurance premiums go up,” Commissioner Hudgens said.
Insurance fraud is a felony that carries a penalty of two to ten years in prison, a fine up to $10,000, or, potentially, both.
If you have any questions, please call the Georgia Department of Insurance at (404) 656-2070 or toll free at (800) 656-2298.
