The Dodge County High School (DCHS) Indians football team beat Cook County with a final score of 21-14 at the pairing’s game on Friday, October 23.
The first quarter saw little action, as Cameron Young, who ran the ball for six yards with 3:44 left in the quarter, scored the only touchdown. Peyton Bush followed Young’s touchdown with a successful attempt at a point after touchdown (PAT). The score was 7-0 as the first quarter concluded.
In the second quarter, Cook’s team held its own, scoring a touchdown with 3:14 left on the clock. Their touchdown was similar to Dodge’s own, a result of a six-yard run with less than four minutes left. The score became 7-7, and the first half ended.
