The Dodge County High School Indians baseball team played several games in the past few weeks. The season would come to an end with the team not making the playoffs but four Indians were named to the All-Region team.
On Tuesday, April 7 Dodge made the long drive to face the number two-ranked team in the state, Pierce County. The Indians were able to keep the game close for several innings before Pierce would pull away. Cain Peterson got the start for the Indians going five innings allowing six runs on eleven hits, striking out three and walking three. Craig Barton had an inning of relief giving up five runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one. Dodge County managed only three hits as Peterson, Ethan Rice and Clint Thompson all had singles. Chandler Davis drove in the only run for the Indians. The final score was Pierce County 11 and Dodge County, one.
