The Dodge County Archery teams competed in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) regional tournament in Johnson County on February 15, 2014.
Placing first in the high school division, Dodge County High School’s archery team fired a 3,175 to beat five other schools. Placing first in the middle school division, Dodge County Middle School’s archery team scored 3,032 beating three other schools. These wins qualify both teams for the eighth annual Georgia-NASP state tournament April 8 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry.
The Dodge County teams also excelled on individual levels. Dodge high’s Joshua Peterson arrowed a 286 (out of 300) to win the overall high-scoring male title at the regional and Dodge high’s Chelsea Barrentine shot a 281 to take home top female honors.
