Recently, I read in the Dodge County newspaper in the opinion section of why the song “Dixie” is not played anymore written succinctly and in very good taste by Calvin Johnson on August 31st, 2011 edition. Mr. Johnson, if you’re so flummoxed in that question, please allow me to dovetail into your vexing question and put some level of objectivity in the folks who have been successful in overturning many symbols that we southerner hold so dear in our heritage.
