Gun Owners of America (gunowners.org) has some interesting ratings. Nevada’s Demoleft Senator Harry Reid, just re-elected (big mistake, Nevada) rates F-, even worse than F, while Nevada’s other Senator, Republican John Ensign gets an A+.
In Montana, both Senators are liberal Democrats. Both failed. Jon Testor got an F rating while Max Baucus scored a D-. Imagine being anti-gun rights in Montana and holding high public office at that. [Full Story »]

I wasn’t aware that the comment board to the DC News existed until a friend of mine from MO emailed me a link, and I was amazed at what I read. The unemployment rate for people with a college degree or higher is 5 percent. If that were the rate for everyone, it’d be the 1990s again.
But college graduates are only 30 percent of the country. For the rest of the population, the jobs picture is grimmer. For people without a high-school degree, the unemployment rate is more than 15 percent. If that were the rate for everyone, it’d be the 1930s again. [Full Story »]

It is Christmas and a very special time of gift giving. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift giver of all. If all of Eastman were asked what gift would you give Jesus Christ this Christmas; there would be many different answer. Although some might be the same answer.

While the December holidays mean a time of family and fellowship for most, this season can also bring tragedy for many who travel. Our state and federal crash data show the period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s is one of the most dangerous times to be a traveler. I have participated in the Eastman Lions Christmas Parade at least 12 times as a band director, music educator, or Eastman Lions Club member. Each year, the Lions Club does a wonderful job trying to provide enjoyment for the Dodge County community.
