The Dodge County High Squaws basketball team participated in the Thomasville Holiday Hoopfest last week at Thomasville High School. The Squaws went 1-2 in the tournament. Dodge defeated Randolph Clay 62-55 in the first game on Tuesday, December 21 and then lost to the host team, Thomasville 57-40 on Wednesday, December 22 and also lost to AAAA Lee County, 59-46 on Thursday, December 23. The Squaws are now 5-3 on the season.
In the Squaws opening game with Randolph-Clay on last Tuesday, Dodge outscored the Lady Devils 14-11 in the first quarter and was led by Jaye Hilliard, Michelle Mitchell and Kadayasha Jones each with four points in the quarter. Jones again led Dodge in the second quarter with six points the Squaws outscored the Lady Devils 16-9 to take a 30-19 halftime lead.
