Three cheers for Susan Southerland!

As many of you must know, Susan announces the Lady Indians softball games on WUFF Radio. The Lady Indians are an exciting, hard working team who seem to really enjoy the game and, rightly so, usually end up in the winner’s column. Susan adds a spark of excitement to their already exciting games.
For one who has followed Dodge County sports since 1963, one must say that Susan is, by far, the best sports announcer to appear on the scene in Dodge County. [Full Story »]

Who had you rather have handling your money, a successful businessman or a person who failed to include a debt of $2,500,000.00 on his financial statement? Georgia government is big business.

I would like to thank Mrs. Doris Adams, Dr. Adams, and the citizens of Rhine and District 3 who attended the forum last week at Rhine Community Center.

Ten days ago, our house caught on fire in Rhine. My prayers were answered that no one was hurt, but we lost most everything. I understand that God will provide a way for us to get back on our feet, but to me it makes sense to let the community know what would lead in that direction. [Full Story »]

After two long years of being a watchdog over our teachers and school children, I finally came to the realization of why I have been SO passionately involved in this mission of my life. If you remember two years ago, I questioned myself about this very issue. Four things to consider.

Doing wrong is more bothersome than doing the right thing. Your conscience will continue to trouble you. Getting out of work is harder than just doing what is expected of you. We are talking about mind set. What you think is what controls your behavior.

Consider these four things as you live each day. The first to consider is Jesus Christ. Second, work like you don’t need the money. Third, don’t focus on, “they don’t pay me enough, they are making more money some place else.” Fourth thing to consider is dance like you don’t care who is watching. Unlike the world, live your life in a way that people can see Christ in you. Love like you have never been hurt. You will always be hurt from time to time but strive to be like Jesus, love anyways.
