The Eastman Dodge County Recreation Department (EDRD) will hold The Randall Ikedionwu Memorial Football Camp on August 16, 17, 19 and 20, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Lunch will be served on Saturday.

The camp is for children ages 6-12. Registration will be held Saturday, August 14 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a parents/player meeting at 3:00 p.m.

Player evaluations will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on registration day. [Full Story »]

Cochran drivers win at 441 speedway

Jason Floyd of Cochran won the Pure Stock Feature, his seventh of the year, at Dublin-441 Speedway Saturday night July 24, 2010.

In a hard fought battle with Don Gay of Dublin, rookie Chad Graham of East Dublin, Lance Floyd of Cochran and David Ussery of Dublin, Floyd kept his number seven out front starting from the pole position and crossing the checkers while race fans were on their feet in another close competitive event.

Michael Davis of Cochran won his third consecutive feature in the Dublin-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep Super Street division followed by Jamie Whitaker of Lyons, Craig Ussery of Milan, Earl Lord of Dublin and rookie Steve Burton of Lyons.

Elijah Gonzales of Bartow won his first career Road Warrior feature ahead of Felicia Champion of Alamo and Dalton Poole of Dublin. [Full Story »]

The Eastman-Dodge County Area Chamber of Commerce announces the start of the 2010-2011 Leadership Dodge Program, a program with a proven history of shaping graduates into future Dodge County leaders.
