Recently, two Jr. Grappling Indians from the Dodge County Wrestling Club traveled to Alpharetta to compete in the Milton Halloween Havoc Wrestling Tournament.
Bringing home a gold and a silver medal at 75 pounds and 80 pounds respectively, Christian Grauberger, cut through his opponents with ease displaying exceptional poise and stamina. Moving into the 10U bracket this year, Grauberger is expected to face very tough opponents this season in his third year as a Junior Grappling Indian.
In the 70 pound weight class, returning state placer Aiden Greer also moved to 10U and faced the toughest opponent of his three year career on the mat. When the dust settled, Greer had fallen short and settled for a silver medal for the day.
Both wrestlers, along with several other seasoned grapplers from the club, are expected to lead the team to its first team championship title this season.
