Amy Rogers Jones (38) pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in Dodge Superior Court on Thursday, November 19, in the death of a four month old infant girl she was baby-sitting.
On Friday, Superior Court Judge Sara Wall sentenced Jones to two years in prison and three years on probation after hearing testimony from medical examiners and family members. [Full Story »] 

On Monday night around 11:15 p.m. Dodge County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call of man threatening another man with a gun and holding the caller against his will at a residence on Joiner Creek Road in southern Dodge County. [Full Story »]

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Eastman Police Department hosted the monthly meeting of the South Central Traffic Enforcement Network (SCTEN) of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) last Friday night. Deputies and officers enjoyed a wild hog supper and a short training meeting. Law officers from multiple agencies of the GOHS then held several nighttime safety road checks throughout the county. “The chicanery and deception that led to the vote underscore the myth of the moderate Democrat. The entire Democratic Caucus - with pitifully few exceptions - was committed to passing the healthcare bill. Had it needed all 258 Democrats to vote yes, the bill would have come awfully close.”
