Dear Editor,
The Holy Bible will teach us what we need to know as how to live, but I wonder if we realize that the God who created us has given us the power to not accept life the way it comes. Our job is not to make everyone love us but we are to love everyone. We must not let yesterday use up too much of today. Today is our tomorrow that we thought about yesterday. In planning for tomorrow, we must remember that there will always be some ups and downs in everyday living. The only three days that we can deal with are yesterday, today and tomorrow. We must remember that the decisions that we make on Monday can change by Wednesday because of what happens on Tuesday.

All will vote for it
Thoughts From The Right Side
By Marshall Miller
When the vote takes place on the Barackocare bad medicine “health” bill, Montana’s Demoleft Senator Mad Max Baucus predicts all Senate Democrats will vote for it. Of course they will. Did anyone have any doubt they would?
Remember the “conservative” Southern Democrats who were supposed to be different from their fraternity brothers on the left side? They aren’t. Under the facade, they’re all Pelosicrats, Obamacrats. [Full Story »]

The Nobel Prize
A Little Common Sense
By Rich Lowry
President Barack Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. That’s an indictment, not a compliment. Rather than living up to the honor, it should be Obama’s mission to show he’s thoroughly unworthy of it. [Full Story »]

Mayors’ Christmas Motorcade has begun in Eastman
Dear Editor,
In the state of Georgia there are several thousand citizens living in Georgia’s seven regional mental health and retardation hospitals. Many of these patients have lived in these hospitals most of their lives and have little, if any, contact with or support from friends or family. [Full Story »]

More oil production needed
Thoughts From The Right Side
By Marshall Miller
We still produce a little oil in the USA, just not enough of it. In 2007, oil production in Wyoming hit 54.1 million barrels, up 1.1 million barrels (about two percent) over 2006.
“That’s two years of increase we’ve had so far after 21 long years of no increases,” said Don Likwartz, supervisor of the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
They cite newer recovery techniques in older fields and oil recovery as a byproduct in natural gas fields as reversing the downward trend.
Remember, Joe Biden, while in the U.S. Senate, was one of only five senators to vote no on the first Alaska pipeline bill in 1973.
The Kennedy family must be the most overrated political family ever. Regarding Robert Kennedy’s 1968 presidential run:
“Kennedy said he’d end the war in Vietnam, which was only fair since his brother John had so deeply involved the U.S. in it.”

The Obama snap-back
A Little Common Sense
By Rich Lowry
A buzz-generating “Saturday Night Live” skit mocked President Barack Obama for not yet having accomplished anything. Not fair. Obama has been on a roll.
In nine months, he has breathed life into the Republican Party, boosted pro-lifers, tarnished the reputation of regulation, bolstered traditional values, increased the public’s desire for immigration restriction and shifted independent voters rightward. If only RNC Chairman Michael Steele were so deadly effective.
No, Obama hasn’t, as once promised, turned back the oceans. Maybe if he gets a second term. Nonetheless, revivifying conservatism almost before books announcing its death could be published qualifies as a feat almost as miraculous. [Full Story »]

I am coming to your town.
Dear Editor,
No matter where you live, if I am not there, I am coming. Some of the words that will describe are to assault, to injure or just bring violence. Yes, my name is violence and I am on my way to your community. Because of what you will not do, I will destroy your neighborhood of young people, as well as the old. I am going to get worse because most people are afraid to stand up against me.
There is a terrible breakdown in the family structure. A home is not complete without a father and a mother. Most don’t seem to be in tune with raising God-fearing children created in his image. The lack of love in the home is causing children to look for something to belong. Children will create whatever is missing in their lives. They continue to make wrong choices, which will not net the right result. [Full Story »]

Global cooling update
Thoughts From The Right Side
By Marshall Miller
Global cooling update: the first cold snap is filling up homeless shelters in Boise, Idaho with unexpectedly cold temperatures. Port Huron, Michigan hit 32 degrees at 8 a.m. on October 1, one degree colder than the record set on October 1, 1935. Weather “experts” warned of an impending ice age back in the 1970s and their dire predictions immediately hit the covers of esteemed “news” magazines Time and News “Weak.” If it’s in there, it must be true. You trust those sources, don’t you? [Full Story »]

The Iran charade
A Little Common Sense

The revelation of an Iranian uranium-enrichment facility buried in a mountain at an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps base near the religious city of Qom might seem ominous. If, that is, the Iranians were determined to develop a nuclear weapon. [Full Story »]
