Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has recovered the two (2) run away teenage girls from Dodge County. Sheriff’s deputies, with assistance of the United States Marshall’s Service, tracked and located Jamila Rashida Brown (age 16) to Thomasville on late Thursday (October 22) night. The following day deputies and marshalls tracked and located Hermina Brown (age 17) at a residence in Macon. Deputies and marshalls were assisted by Thomas and Bibb County law enforcement officers. The teenagers were turned over to the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and later released to family members. [Full Story »]

Halloween is a fun and exciting time for children. They get to dress up as pirates, princesses and monsters, and receive an overwhelming amount of candy. Although Halloween activities should be fun and harmless, the weather, darkness and excitement of the night can create a dangerous situation for children.
Between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., there is a significant increase in falls, burn-related injuries and pedestrian injuries. Children are four times more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween than any other night of the year. [Full Story »]

Angry White Dude (angrywhitedude.com - a fine site) says ESPN commentator Lou Holtz looks like Granny Clampett and is not a fan of the retired coach turned ESPN yakker. AWD claims Holtz spouts the political correctness line at the network. Isn’t that what all sports blabbers do? To get along, they go along. To deviate from the correctness company line is to hit the unemployment line. Just look at what happened to Rush Limbaugh’s ESPN career. Of course, he was gainfully employed elsewhere and didn’t need the part-time job anyway. One misstep and the commissars of correctness try to destroy you.
