Barack Obama, while in the U.S. Senate, voted against every Republican proposal that would have made health insurance better and more affordable. Now that he is president, he wants a government takeover, not reform. He helped stop health care reform every chance he had. Yet, as Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina) says, Obama is trying to portray Republicans as the status quo as he poses as the great reformer.
He now wants credit for what he bills as “reform,” actually a destruction of what remains of free enterprise medicine. If it passes, instead of getting credit for its implementation, Obama will get the blame for its failure. He just doesn’t know it yet.
