Thoughts From The Right Side

Paul Harvey said a couple of years back that 40 percent of Americans take their cars in for regular servicing but only 33 percent take themselves in for regular medical tune-ups. I miss Paul. For months after he left us I started to check the radio for his broadcasts at 8:30 and noon each day. I seldom missed a Paul Harvey newscast and often sent him stories which I would later hear him read on the air in his unmistakable style. I knew he was 90 and still figured he could go on for years.
We’re starting to find out the truth about Obama:

A Little Common Sense

If diplomatic pusillanimity was the aim, President Barack Obama’s decision to abandon our current missile-defense plans in Eastern Europe must be regarded as a masterstroke.
With just one announcement, the Obama administration undercut two loyal allies, rewarded Russian bullying and diminished our ability to counter an emerging Iranian threat. If there were awards for self-defeating weakness, this move would deserve a Neville for Appeasement in a Perpetually Threatened Region. [Full Story »] 

Dear Editor,
For those people who did not see it on the news, the health care bill, as it stands, will be cutting 40% of benefits from Medicare patients who suffer from cancer and/or heart conditions. I do wonder just whom the government thinks needs it more than these people who are getting the cut. What is next? Probably, Alzheimer’s and diabetics.
As I have pointed out previously, the government wants to get rid of old and sick people or young and sick. What better way than taking control of the healthcare and denying it to those who need it: the sick, old and young. I am writing this article because I am very concerned about the things that are going on in Washington and what is happening to our beloved country. There are things taking place that a majority of Americans are not even aware of. For instance, why is Barack Obama aiding Latin America communists if he is not one of them? Honduras is a Central America republic. The Supreme Court of Honduras ordered communist-backed president Manuel Zelaya arrested for violating their constitution. The order was backed by the national congress and was carried out by the military, which deported him to neutral Costa Rica, rather than throw him in jail. [Full Story »]

With everyone focused on healthcare there is another very important issue that everyone needs to be aware of. There are many in Washington DC who believe that we should surrender our sovereignty as a nation. As part of the “change” that was brought to Washington there are growing attempts to place the United States under international and United Nations’ laws and resolutions. There is one treaty in particular that is very disturbing which is known as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). [Full Story »]

Barack Obama, while in the U.S. Senate, voted against every Republican proposal that would have made health insurance better and more affordable. Now that he is president, he wants a government takeover, not reform. He helped stop health care reform every chance he had. Yet, as Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina) says, Obama is trying to portray Republicans as the status quo as he poses as the great reformer.
He now wants credit for what he bills as “reform,” actually a destruction of what remains of free enterprise medicine. If it passes, instead of getting credit for its implementation, Obama will get the blame for its failure. He just doesn’t know it yet. [Full Story »]
