Investigators with the Eastman Police Department have arrested two juveniles and have solved five church burglaries and one residential burglary.
The two juveniles (ages 14 and 15) were charged with five counts of burglary and vandalism to a place of worship, along with one count of residential burglary.
All of the items taken from the residential burglary on Park Street were recovered and returned to the owner.
The churches were Sunset Worship Center on Leitch Street, Mt. Calvary on Creighton Street, Greater Lighthouse on Ward Street, First Presbyterian on Oak Street and Grace Baptist on the Hawkinsville Highway.
The juveniles were taken to the Regional Youth Development Center.
Some prisoners in the a.dult centers will tell you that this is how they got their start in the Criminal Justice System by committing a crime as a juvenile.
It is so sad that some teenagers cannot be looked at as your typical teenagers that rakes your yard or take out your trash for money but as one who might commit a crime against you.
Children these days are a much different breed from when I was growing up in the 60's. Some are smart but then to some will try to outsmart you and that include toddlers. Parents need to get a grip on a child's life while they are young and keep a grip on it.
