Dodge County sheriff’s investigators have made several felony theft arrests and recovered stolen property over the last couple of weeks.
Deputies were called to a residence on El Bethel Church Road last Thursday to theft of tools and equipment from that location. Investigators were able to recover the property in Wheeler County. Investigators have arrested and charged James Ralph Cannon (age 40), of a Helena address in Dodge County, with felony theft by taking in connection with the case.
A citizen reported the theft of some jewelry from a residence on Garrett-Oxley Road in Gresston. Investigators recovered the jewelry from a pawn shop in Warner Robins Monday afternoon. Investigators have arrested and charged Kaylee Nichole Maraman (age 19), of a Cochran address, with felony theft by taking as a result of the sheriff’s investigation. Maraman is also facing charges from Houston County law enforcement officials for theft by deception in connection with the case.
Deputies responded to the theft of a riding lawn mower from a residence on Peachtree Street in Chester back in April. Sheriff’s investigators made an arrest on June 9 in connection with the theft of the lawn mower. Investigators arrested Ernestine Mingo (age 60), of Chester, and charged Mingo with felony theft by taking.
Deputies were called to a residence on the Hawkinsville Highway during the early morning hours of June 12 and made a drug arrest. Deputies arrested Colton Rambo (age 19), of Eastman, and charged Rambo with possession of marijuana.
