The Dodge County High School Lady Indians track team had several members participate in the AA State Track Meet at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany last week. The Dodge team finished as the 11th place AA team in the state with strong performances by senior Michelle Mitchell who went into the meet as region 3AA champion in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash.
Mitchell finished second in the state in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.530 and she finished fourth in the state in the 200 meter dash with time of 25.980.
Mitchell was also a part of the region championship 400 meter relay team, which also consisted of Tarnesha Wright, Shequore Jordan, Markesha McCloud and Lashaunda Chambers. The relay team finished fifth in the state with a time of 49.850.
