The Dodge County High School golf teams finished their 2011 seasons last week. The Dodge girls’ team finished in third place in the Region 3AA Tournament with a score of 235 behind Bleckley County (208) and Southeast Bulloch (218). Top finishers for the Lady Indians were: Taylor Crane 116, Kelly Weathersbee 119, Kristan Rogers 128 and Tiffani Scarborough 132.
The Dodge boys’ team finished in fourth place in the region behind Bleckley County (347), Southeast Bulloch (355) and Swainsboro (359) with a 367. Top finishers for Dodge were: Thomas Knight (90), Bruce Hall (91), Blake Studstill (91), Daniel Graham (95), Kaleb Zhang (100), and Jaid Peacock (113). Taylor Crane will compete in the girls state tournament as the low score from the region tournament. This completes the golf teams’ 2011 season as only the top two golf teams from each region advance to state.
