The Dodge County Indians baseball team defeated the Worth County Rams on Monday, March 7, 2011, in Eastman with a score of 10-2. The Indians were exacting a measure of revenge against the Rams for a 14-8 victory over the Indians a week earlier in Sylvester.
In the first game, the Indians totaled 15 hits versus 12 for Worth County.
But the Indians also had a combination of 15 wild pitches/passed balls in that game that allowed multiple unearned runs to go on the board for the Rams.
The Indians were determined to correct those mistakes when the Rams came to Eastman.
Sophomore pitcher Aron Chick had his best outing of the year when he limited the Rams to six hits over seven innings while recording seven strikeouts on 121 pitches. Chick experienced control problems from time to time as he hit five batters and walked six.
