Milan Mayor Jimmy Kirkland, along with the Milan City Council, is pleased to announce that the City of Milan has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $497,761.
The grant was awarded to the city to make improvements in target areas of concern, helping with issues of streets and draining, upgrade existing water lines and adding new fire hydrants. Mayor Kirkland would like to thank all those involved with securing this grant for the city and especially Senator Ross Tolleson, Representative Jay Roberts and Georgia State Representative Jimmy Pruett for supporting this grant for the city.
