A Dodge County school board member has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after she was involved in a traffic accident in the City of Eastman on Tuesday night, February 1, 2011.
According to the police report, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Darla (Dee) Yearty, was traveling south on Ogden Street and ran into the rear of an 18 wheeler that was parked on the right side of the road.
Contributing factors for the accident were DUI, weather conditions (rain) and the truck being parked improperly, according to the report. No citations were given to the driver of the truck.
Yearty says that she is innocent and her integrity demands that she fight this (the DUI charge).
