Dodge cheerleaders place first and second in competitions
The Dodge County High Competition Cheerleaders participated in two competitions recently against some of the toughest teams in AA.
The competition cheerleaders traveled to Dublin to participate in the Raider Rumble at West Laurens High School on Saturday, September 26, 2009. The team placed second at this competition.
On Saturday, October 3 they traveled to Columbus to participate in the Columbus Invitational hosted by Harris County High School and Columbus State University Cheerleaders. The Indian cheerleaders came away a first place trophy in Columbus topping such teams as the always tough Bleckley County and defending AA state champion Callaway.
Dodge will travel to East Laurens on Saturday, October 10 for their next competition.
Members of 2009-2010 competition cheerleading squad are seniors, Krystal Hutcheson, Maura McCranie, Kate McCranie, Kourtney Peacock, Breaunna Wilcox; juniors, Katie Brown, Miranda Driggers, Sarah Fitz, Mindy Zhang; sophomores, Kendall Adcock, Chrissy Melton, KaHillarie Pierce, Kacy Saunders, Logan Woodard; and freshmen, Hannah Newman, Gabriel Peacock, Brooke Peacock, and Jasmine Warrell.
Coaches are Tammie Lewis, Angie Pritchett, and Joni Barton.
